Escorted Motorhome Tours

Why would we book an escorted tour with Motorhome Tours?

Escorted tours are fun, friendly and sociable and a great way to travel around Europe. We issue you a travel pack on arrival of the tour so you can go through all the information.
They are a great way to travel with other likeminded people who, if are you new to motorhoming, will share a wealth of experience with you.
We are experienced motorhomers with many years travelling in Europe, five of these years full time.

We have an individual ‘log in’ to a personal portal on our website where you will find trip information, invoices and any other relevant info you need for the tour.

We will produce a video and photos of the tour which will be sent to you following the tour completion. We hope you enjoy these memories for yourselves and enjoy showing your friends and families.

During the free time you are welcome to join us when we have a drink before dinner or a meal out.

Who will be the hosts for our tour?

We, Giles and Linda, are the hosts for each tour. See ‘Our Story’ page for more info on us.

How do you protect our money?

Monies are protected in a client account adhering to ‘The Package Travel Regulations 1992’. Your monies are held in the account till the end of the tour which provides security on all monies paid.

We have not travelled abroad before. Are you tours for us?

Absolutely. Our tours are suited to all motorhomers and people choose to book an escorted tour for many reasons from being new to travelling abroad through to the social aspect of being with other likeminded people.

How many motorhome places are there on each tour?

The majority of our tours cater for 2-20 motorhomes although a tour will not be cancelled if not full but we do require a minimum of  2 motorhomes for the tour to go ahead.

Are your tours fully escorted?

Our tours are fully escorted for the duration of the tour as stated in the itinerary. For some of our tours we are happy to meet you at a site near a French Ferry Port if you wish to travel with us to the start site. This will incur an extra cost.

Are we able to bring a pet?

All of our tours are now pet friendly and we know this means a lot to some of you as our dog travelled with us for many years. There may be some excursions and meals that your pet is unable to join you and we cannot guarantee a refund for this part of the tour if you are unable to attend.

When is the best time to book a tour?

Tours get booked up quickly, often 9-12 months in advance, so book as far in advance as you are able to and guarantee your place.

Do we get some time to ourselves?

Yes. We think it is important to have free days to do as you wish, this maybe a day out of your choosing or just relaxing on the site and getting to know other motorhomers better who may become friends for life.

Are there any restrictions on motorhomes?

Due to some restrictions on campsites there is a limit on length to 8 metres and no towing on most of the tours. If your motorhome is longer than this and you are wishing to book a tour, please contact us and we can talk this through with you.

What type of campsites will be staying at?

We choose the most suitable campsites in each destination to suit the needs of the tour (excursions, public transport etc) Campsite standards vary in Europe but will always meet our needs.

It is required to carry the following safety items – warning triangle, reflective safety vests, first aid kit, fire extinguisher and beam deflectors. If any other items are required for certain counties in addition to these, they will be detailed on the Tour information. You are responsible for ensuring you have the correct documentation for each country the tour travels through.
